Cranfield School of Management and Capital Consulting team up to investigate the meaning of talent

Cranfield School of Management and recruitment outsourcing provider Capital Consulting have teamed up to conduct research into talent management in the UK.

The research project will examine the definition of ‘talent’ in different organisations and investigate current practices in the acquisition, development and management of talent.

It will also assess the impact of talent management on the bottom line, and provide a framework by which the value of talent can be measured.

All participants will receive a free copy of the research report and be invited to attend the launch of the findings.

Jeremy Tipper, founder and managing director of Capital Consulting, said: “Identifying, attracting, securing, measuring, fostering and managing talent are perennial challenges for any organisation and keep many HR professionals awake at night.

“We think such an important issue warrants serious investigation and would love to hear from organisations wishing to participate in this major study which will provide a framework for measuring the impact of talent on the bottom line – the holy grail of HR.”

Companies wishing to participate in the study can do so by completing an online questionnaire before 8 May.

The final report will be published in June.
