Only fools would fail to make use of online sifting tools

Tuesday 08 April 2008 17:48

I loved your April Fool story - 'Darling buries recruitment charge in depths of Budget' (Personnel Today, 1 April) - and, of course, nobody fell for it.

But here's a not-so-foolish tip for companies quaking in their boots at the thought of having to pay candidates £200 to attend interviews - how about reducing the number of interviews?

The trick is to only actually see the most appropriate candidates. And you can decide this by using online sifting tools.

Surely introducing efficiency and getting the right candidates to interview is no laughing matter.
