Royal Mail uses teams up with Landround to reward staff with travel vouchers for good attendance

The Royal Mail has teamed up with promotions firm Landround for the second year running to reward employees who have gone 12 months without taking sick leave.

Royal Mail's 'Be in to Win' approach to managing sickness absence was introduced last year, when staff were entered into a prize draw to win one of 39 cars. All those who qualified to enter received a £150 Landround travel voucher.

The scheme proved so successful that it has been extended to encompass both national and international travel requirements to cater for the Royal Mail's broad employee base.

Jon Allen, Royal Mail's head of employee relations, said: "It is important that we recognise and reward good attendance and the hard work our people put in to help us improve the service to customers."
