The union wants full proper consultation over the decision, and will make its case at the Interbrew European Works Council in Cologne this week.
T&G national organiser Brian Revell said: "The T&G and our European union colleagues' position is very clear. We want full and proper consultation with the opportunity to review the management outcomes of Interbrew's study.
"In particular we are calling for the right to modify those plans to prevent the loss of jobs."
Yesterday
(Tuesday) T&G representatives met with local management at Boddington's in
Manchester where they outlined their opposition to proposed job cuts.
