Staffordshire Police Service has launched a recruitment drive targeting former criminals.
The Midlands service is calling on offenders to become registered informants in return for a new start in life for them and their families.
The force's ad reads: "Wanted – Staffordshire Police are recruiting criminals who don't want to be criminals any more."
The new recruits will be paid for reliable information and co-operation.
The last line of the ad said: "Help us put criminals away instead of you".
