'Cuddillow' pillow launched for lonely hotel guests in need of a hug

While HR may be regarded by some as soft and fluffy, lonely business travellers who find it difficult to nod off will not be demanding 'personnel services' to help them sleep.

However, they will now be able to snuggle up to the 'Cuddillow' (below), which is said to be the UK's first cuddling pillow. A survey of 2,000 solitary travellers by budget hotel chain Travelodge found 63% needed a bedtime cuddle to aid sleep.

In response, the company has created the Cuddillow, a two-and-a-half foot bundle of hugs, for guests to snuggle into. It will be trialled in hotels in Newcastle, Durham, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham, and will be free of charge for guests.
