BAE Systems has teamed up with capability management firm, InfoBasis, to streamline its people management systems.
Implementation of InfoBasis Enterprise Skills Manager (ESM) will affect 3,500 staff at BAE's Submarine Solutions business units across the UK.
As well as reducing Human Resources (HR) overheads by consolidating existing systems, the new initiative includes extended job-role profiling and competency frameworks for skills assessments.
Phill Walker, head of operational HR at BAE, said: "This enables personal development planning for both professional and production employees, while also allowing us to proactively manage employee skills in line with corporate requirements."
