Former 'Tombliboo' in court after taking a tumble

A children's television actor who played a character in the CBeebies show In the Night Garden is claiming unfair dismissal against the programme's makers.

Isaac Blake told an employment tribunal in Birmingham that he was forced off work after he was injured while playing one of the Tombliboo characters in the popular series.

He alleges that he could not see anything after the robotic suit he was made to wear failed and his complaints were ignored. His contract was terminated by Ragdoll Productions.

Blake also claims he was discriminated against and verbally abused for being homosexual.

In the Night Garden is made by the same company responsible for Teletubbies, Brum and Tots TV. The show won a children's Bafta award last year.
