CBeebies' Night Garden actor loses unfair dismissal case against Ragdoll Productions

The actor who played a character in the children's television show In the Night Garden, on CBeebies, has lost his case of unfair dismissal.

Isaac Blake, who lost four out of five claims against Ragdoll Productions, had told an employment tribunal in Birmingham that he was forced off work after he was injured while playing one of the Tombliboo characters.

He claimed that he had been dismissed after complaining of a "faulty" animatronics suit that he was forced to wear, despite not being able to see out of it.

Blake claimed he was also discriminated against and verbally abused for being homosexual.

The tribunal did find that he had suffered harassment when he was called a "faggot" twice, and awarded him £2,000.
