BBT launches internet video CV service

This article is a press release written by a supplier. It is not endorsed by Personnel Today.

Beresford Blake Thomas (BBT), a specialist global recruitment consultancy, has launched an internet-based video CV service that enables candidates to present their credentials to prospective employers by video, at no cost to themselves.

BBT is providing the new service in partnership with Jobs2View, which designed the technology platform for the video CVs.

By using a video CV, candidates have an advantage over other job applicants that are only able to present themselves via their written CV.

Employers gain by having the opportunity to witness candidates’ presentation skills and personalities in a way not possible with traditional CVs.

Clients are also able to use the service to promote, with a more personnel approach, their company and specific projects they are recruiting for.

Peter Reynolds, Founder and CEO of BBT, said:

“We are delighted to be an early-adopter of this new approach to matching candidates with employers.  Being able to see and listen to candidates via video CV will help employers speed up their recruitment processes.  Video CVs will be especially useful for our Global Resourcing Division which recruits people on an international basis for clients.

"Already, we use video conferencing to present candidates to employers but video CVs will enable us to add further value to both parties by connecting them together in a faster and simpler format.”

Jobs2view is the world’s only video CV sending service.

It provides candidates the opportunity to upload a pre-recorded CV video, and clients the facility to view it via a hyperlink.  BBT sends the video to its client via this hyperlink, together with the candidate’s paper CV and cover letter.

Videos can be recorded via mobile phone, digital camera or webcam.  Prospective candidates simply click on the hyperlink enter their contact details, and upload their pre-recorded video.

Through the Jobs2view site, BBT provides extensive instructions and tips on how to be successful in interviews.

Video CV

It's great to see a global brand like BBT adopting a video CV service as part of their offering.

Talent on View enables recruiters like BBT to adopt similar methods but with a more tailored approach to their own recruitment processes.

Less reliance is placed on the candidate uploading their own video CV's where there is disparity in presentation and profesionalism and more emphasis is placed on the recruiter who is interviewing the candidate to ensure the candidate showcases their skills in the correct uniform way. This enables clients to make informed decisions in a more structured way.

Talent on View is completely web based and enables the recruiter to video a candidate and then send the video on a secure link to their clients. The client in turn will view up to three candidates on the recruiters unique branded webpage and then can give instant feedback to the recruiter.

There are huge benefits to the client, candidate and recruiter.
