Nearly two-thirds of employees would rather work for a small business than a large corporate, according to a report on the British Chambers of Commerce website.

The figures, obtained from a survey by recruitment firm Angela Mortimer, also revealed that although 70% of the 1,400 employees polled thought that corporates offered better salaries, 60% said they would choose a comparable offer from a smaller company.

Finally, while some 63% of employers thought that working for the market leader was a priority for employees, in reality this only really mattered to 20% of employees.
