Despite its name, this is actually quite a small book of HR, but they've certainly packed in the material. It's well-researched and full of comments and opinions from the likes of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Chartered Management Institute and the Economist Intelligence Unit. It's not a book to read from start to finish in one sitting, but it's well-structured, making it easy to dip into, or to research a specific topic. Good for anyone new to HR, an established HR practitioner in need of an update, or a non-HR manager keen for an insight into the function.
