A Vote of Confidence

I was pretty pleased with myself today (nothing unusual there), after resolving a tricky situation between 2 employees that threatened to spill over into something quite messy.

However, though I can seemingly be trusted to undertake tasks such as that, it would seem that for other, basic tasks, some people have their concerns. Namely my Managing Director...

We are hosting a global conference next week, and I was asked to source some table flags for the occassion. I promptly delegated this task, but was impressed with them when they arrived today.

My MD, however, had a major concern; the flags did not come ready assembled on their stands.

So, while I can handle all sorts of issues on a day to day basis, it would appear that one which is judged to be too tricky for me is putting 2 bits of wood and a bit of string together.

Marvellous.
