You may recall that last week I was doing a good deed, by getting the brother of one of our employees enrolled at a local recruitment agency with a view to coming to work for us as a temp.
Well, remind me to never bother being nice again!
I'm no expert on karma, but thanks to 'My Name is Earl' I was under the impression that good things would happen to me if I was nice.
Instead, I get rewarded with even more work, as I now have to investigate a serious allegation made towards the agency.
Upon going to register, our new temp alleges that he was told by the agency that he shouldn't bother working for us as we are a dark and dingy place to work for, and that he would be better off stacking shelves!
Obviously this is of great concern to us, and so we need to launch a full investigation.
The agency are obviously denying everything, and I'm almost inclined to believe them. As I was the one that sent them the temp to get registered, they surely can't have been stupid enough to think that such comments wouldn't come back to me?
