Despite some reports to the contrary, I am, deep down, a pretty nice guy.
Today saw a heart-warming example of this other side to my personality, as I took a few minutes off from moaning about life's annoyances to cheer someone up.
It has been a difficult few weeks for the person in question, but they came to me today not looking to help themselves but their brother, who has recently been made redundant.
As our need for temps is currently through the roof, I have set him up with a recruitment agency to get registered and then he will be sent to us next week.
No doubt some of you will be thinking how wonderful I can be for employee relations, whilst others will doubtless be horrified at this show of favouritism. Oh well.
