As mentioned a couple of days ago, we are hosting a global conference next week.
To be honest, it hasn't even started yet and already I'm sick of it.
Normally level-headed people are running around like headless chickens just because of a few visitors. It reminds me of being at home whenever my mum had family visiting.
Despite the back-log of recruitment and other work of substance, it was decided that my time would best be spent today assembling the aforementioned table flags, creating place cards, and generally getting involved in all manner of Blue Peter-esque activities.
I knew that degree would come in useful at somepoint...

I know how you feel! 4 years of studying and there are days where I am reduced to finding out how many teaspoons of sugar guests would like in their tea...makes me feel so appreciated at work.

Ahh, useless activities. Do you know how many hours I've sat in conference rooms stuffing envelopes?
"Couldn't we get the mail room to do this?"
"No, it's confidential."
"But the mailroom handles pay stubs."
"well, umm, no."
I just haven't figured out how to put this on my resume. "Collated thousands of sheets of paper that should have either been a. handled by the mailroom or b. sent via e-mail."
