The Joys of Reception Cover

October 31, 2007

Despite sinking in work at the moment, it has been deemed necessary for me to spend 2 hours covering reception this afternoon.

It is something I had done a bit more of a couple of years ago, but I was hopeful those dark days were behind me.

It truly is a depressing job.

I hate phonecalls at the best of times, but when you are being spoken to like you are an idiot just because you are on reception it is more than a little annoying.

I suppose I should console myself with the thought that I'm being paid quite a lot of money to do nothing, but that doesn't quite cut it with me.

No doubt when I get back to my desk I'll have a mountain of paperwork and emails to deal with.

Roll on Friday...
