Our department was taken to task today by one of our Executive Managers, who shall be referred to henceforth as Scrooge, in keeping with this festive time of year.
Corporate Governance is an issue our Senior Management are taking very seriously, but Scrooge really does need to take a chill pill, as I believe the youth of today say.
Apparently, accepting a tin of Quality Street between the 5 of us as a Christmas gift from a supplier is tantamount to being bribed, and Scrooge wants it returned.
We took the only option possible. Whilst this was all being debated in the board room (as if they didn't have better things to talk about), we managed to plough our way through most of the tin.
The spirit of Christmas really is alive and well...
Wow. That is a bit...extreme. We get to keep anything that is worth under $100 (unless it is cash or from a foreign government official). We just have to report it to the head bean counter guy. Bring on the candy and cakes please!
