The Deadline

Yesterday was the day that the yearly appraisals for all of our employees were due in.

Every year we set a deadline, and allow ourselves to hope that it might be met by virtually everyone.

Inevitably, such hope leads to disappointment each year, and this year has proved to be no different.

We are still awaiting appraisals for 25% of our employees, a not inconsiderable amount.

Needless to say, a polite email was sent out today requesting that these are handed in to me ASAP.

No doubt I’m not the most popular person in certain departments at the moment…
