Broken Promises: More Fun and Games with New Employees

It’s fair to say that the issues with some of our new employees show no sign of abating.

Absence is a particular concern, a point well illustrated by an incident today.

One of our new starters called this morning to say that she was going to be late. Originally she wasn’t going to come in as she was feeling ‘achey’, but decided that she would drag herself in.

Almost worthy of an award isn’t it?

Anyway, I was somewhat surprised when I got a call from her manager later in the morning to say that there was still no sign of her.

This remained the case for the rest of the day, neither sight nor sound from her. Until just after 5pm that is, when one of her friends called to say she will be in tomorrow when she will explain everything.

Should be an interesting conversation…

Could I suggest you lose the "click here to read more" link and just publish the entire post on the main page. the ones I have read (and enjoyed) haven't been long enough to warrant it and it has made browsing quite labour intensive (clicking on the link and then clicking back and then clicking on the next link etc)
