HR Software: Are we about to join the 21st Century?

Joining the latter part of the 20th century would be a start for our department, let alone the 21st.

Since time began we have relied on an entirely paper-based system for our records and information, which isn't exactly conducive to quick and efficient working.

Thankfully, it seems the penny has finally dropped.

Today I spent the best part of 6 hours listening to presentations from various companies hoping to drag us kicking and screaming into the modern world with a computerised HR system.

For the most part, it wasn't really my idea of fun and I have certainly had more riveting days.

However, I'm hopeful that the ends will thoroughly justify the means in this case...
