Beware: Freebies can be bad for your health...

This morning was spent at a surprisingly enjoyable Employment Law Seminar (I know, it seems like a bit of a contradiction in terms).

Along with obtaining knowledge of many useful, and scary, changes and future changes to the law, I managed to enjoy a few freebies.

Some, including a very nice lunch, were very welcome.

One, however, has had an adverse effect.

The offending article? A packet of mints.

You might wonder what an innocent packet of mints could have done to me. The answer is that these were sugar-free mints. Instead of the sugar were a variety of chemicals, the combination of which resulted in the following warning being displayed on the packaging:

May have a laxative effect!

Yes, they even included the exclamation mark, as if some sort of innocent joke.

Sadly the warning was in the smallest possible font, and I failed to notice it until 90% of the mints had been devoured. With inevitable consequences...
