Contract Renegotiation: Not for the Faint Hearted

I've had a fun morning renegotiating a contract with an external labour provider.
 
These things are never easy, but they can be very rewarding and fun in there own special way, and today was certainly no exception.
The end result was a £16,000 per annum saving and a pat on the back from my boss.
 
When I suggested that maybe some of that could go towards a bonus, I was given one of those looks which never fails to disappoint...
