The Immigration Saga Continues...

After a week lying on a beach in warmer climes, it has been an extraordinary comedown today.

Not only has there been the usual raft of post and emails to trawl through, but I also walked right back in to the centre of the immigration storm that had been brewing before I had a week off.

One of the employees who we had concerns over has failed to bring in documents to satisfy us of her continued right to work in the UK.

The Border and Immigration Agency, or whatever they are calling themselves these days, were unsurprisingly little help, but we did manage to eventually deduce that she doesn't even seem to have an application pending.

Thus, we were left with no real option but to deem her contract to be void.

It actually left me feeling somewhat sorry for her to be honest. I think she's been very naive, but nothing more sinister than that.

Sadly, that won't count for a lot and I would imagine it won't be long before the authorities catch up with her now.
