The Truth Comes Out

July 9, 2008

A couple of weeks ago, a junior member of our department left for pastures new.

At the time, we were all fairly sorry to see her go as she seemed to be good at what she was doing and generally a very popular character.

As it turns out, she was exceptionally good at what she was doing... not an awful lot and then covering it up.
It's become increasingly apparent since her departure that many of her tasks have been neglected over the past 3 months at least, and now we face the 'clear up' operation.

Needless to say my boss is incensed, and as a result I wouldn't fancy her chances of obtaining a favourable reference...

Ahhh! The under-rated skill some people have of moving onwards and upwards before their laziness and incompetence is recognised. She will go far and leave behind a lot of p*ssed-off people - before falling spectacularly, wondering why everyone is stepping out of the way to avoid inadvertently catching her and saving her from herself.
