Guru recently stumbled across a set of images whilst trawling the internet that confirmed his thoughts about government skills envoy Sir Digby Jones.
They were a selection of snaps taken at the recent launch of the Leitch Review skills pledge in London, which Guru has already reported was one of the most secretive events ever known.
Guru is a long-standing fan of Sir Diggers, and publicly mourned his departure from the CBI this time last year. But these pics show Birmingham's favourite son is still doing what he does best.
Firstly, here he is hovering by a plate of pastries, just waiting for his opportunity to pounce. For a man who once ate two full English breakfasts at a Personnel Today HR Directors Club meeting, a few croissants and pains-au-chocolat should be no problem.

Then we have Digby shooting the breeze with current CBI chief Richard Lambert. Guru wonders what the big man is saying to his successor. Suggestions for picture captions please.
Whatever it is, Lambert has the look of 'please will someone come and save me from this man' about him.

The final pic shows Digby getting close to a lady at the launch. Guru thinks this is all part of tactics to get more firms signed up to the pledge. One morning you arrive at work and Digby is waiting for you, pen in hand, saying: "Sign up - or I'll give you a cuddle!"

I'm sure Guru's female disciples will agree, committing to training your staff by 2010 is surely the less painful option of the two.

Guru doesn't want his disciples to think he's becoming obsessed by Sir Dig-in, but Yours Truly has just been alerted to the news that our larger-than-life friend is to be given a seat in the House of Lords as a Labour peer and his own ministry of trade promotion.
