Blue Mosque photo is close, but no cigar

August 29, 2007

Guru recently put out a call for his loyal followers to send in pictures of themselves reading Personnel Today magazine in unusual places.

Blue Mosque Istanbul

Disciple Maria was quickest off the mark with this picture of herself reading Occupational Health magazine (a sister title to Personnel Today - so Guru will allow it) outside the Blue Mosque in the Turkish capital Istanbul.

It's good, but it doesn't beat Disciple Richard's waterskiing shot. So come on world tourists, take your favourite human resources magazine on holiday (you probably do anyway) and send Guru a picture of yourself enjoying all the best HR news, features and jobs (not forgetting Guru's own award-winning back page column) in the most unusual surrounds.

About Guru

Guru is Personnel Today's notorious HR commentator. He's been working in HR for far too long and observes every passing management fad with a mixture of anger and amusement. His blog is the one thing saving his long-suffering wife, Mrs Guru, from having to endure too much of his ranting about the big HR stories of the day.
