Being of sound heart and mind, Guru is far from a Spurs fan - but he does have to wonder if employers could learn a little from maestro of people management Daniel Levy.
Yours Truly doesn't mind admitting that he watched with a little bit of awe as the Tottenham chairman ruthlessly replaced his under-performing manager.
Disappointed with Martin Jol's performance over the past two years - he took the London club into European competitions in both seasons, but this was not good enough for the visionary Levy - the chairman brought someone else into the club to spend his money on players that were then handed down to Jol.
When these unwanted gifts failed to improve results, Levy sent his 'people' to Spain to touch up, er sorry, tap up a better man for the job.
When the better man said he rather preferred the sun, sea, sangria and straightforward chairmen he could find in Spain, Levy refused to take no for an answer and eventually offered a now-or-never ultimatum.
Juande Ramos duly accepted the lure of the pound, and Jol was sent packing with a reported £4m compensation package.
Everyone is the winner - except perhaps the fans, whose hard earned money funded the merry-go-round.

Rubbish Chairman with no clue what he is doing. Bit like Bill (rubbish presenter) Gates. It doesn't matter how rubbish they are as they have the dosh to avoid being called rubbish!
New rule - if a football manager gets the sack for being rubbish his "compensation" should be given to supporters clubs.

A couple of years ago, I went to an event where the speaker talked of someone in business "doing a ranieri"
For the non footballers - Claudio Ranieri was a chelsea football manager (the one before the one before the one they've got now)
Claudio got Chelsea to second in the league (the first time in over a century that a team has gone through a season unbeaten) and the semi finals of the lucrative Champions league.
But in a perfecto world - that wasn't good enough so he got the sack
