Flexible working and net curtains

November 9, 2007

It was with some surprise that Guru found this rather timely video of the Liberal Democrats' Lorely Burt talking in her front room about flexible working.

Partly because previous trawls of YouTube have not uncovered it already, but mostly because he cannot understand why the Lib Dem's would ever think it a good idea to use a set of net curtains as a backdrop to a serious political message.

By the time he could take his mind off the net curtains, the video had ended.

A quick read of the comments below the original posting shows that somebody else questioned the production values also. This time not the net curtains but the lack of an autocue.

The LibDems denied Burt was reading from notes propped up below the camera, but Guru is not so sure. If she's not looking at some notes, what is she look at? The legs of the tripod? What do you think?
