A couple of weeks ago, Guru revealed on this blog that drummers were a superior race reaching the advanced stages of their world domination plans. Now it seems that ballet dancers may be joining them.
First it emerged that 20 members of the Timisoara community police force in western Romania were being taught to dance by two former members of the small town’s opera ballet troop.
That seemed harmless – and amusing – enough. However, Guru has now caught wind of a former ballet dancer being appointed business consultant at performance development firm Lane4.
Lee Fisher, who trained at the Royal Ballet School and enjoyed 17 years as a soloist with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, will now be helping individuals and teams thrive in high performing, competitive corporate environments, apparently.
Speaking from a golden throne, in a language understood only by people in tutus but translated for this publication, Fisher said: “I’m delighted to be joining Lane4 and to be utilising my performing arts skills to address people development issues in a new environment.
“Each individual, team or business department will have their unique employee engagement and development concerns. I’m looking forward to working closely with them to help them meet these challenges.”
What next? Billy Elliot to be HR director for GlaxoSmithKline?
