Sexy secretaries: the dream dies

August 6, 2008

A London restaurant is set to ruin the office fantasies of executives across the capital with its new free-grub-for-PAs offer.

Yes enjoy your personal assistants and secretaries looking good in stockings and skirts announcing it's time for the 11am conference call this morning - for soon they will all be gorging on three-course meals every lunchtime.

Mayfair's Embassy restaurant has launched a loyalty scheme rewarding PAs with a free meal every time they arrange four lunches for two people or more.

Embassy owner Mark Fuller - oblivious to the damage he is about to unleash on the UK economy once London's battle-weary executives return from their four-hour, port-and-stilton-fuelled 'business meeting' to find 16 stone of steak and ale pie putting calls through to them - said: "Often the secretary is the unsung hero of the office. We at Embassy think it's about time that all their hard work gets a reward."

Guru reckons all right-thinking executives should now refuse to take lunch at the Embassy. How about booking a few sessions at Holmes Place and seeing if they'll do a discount for your secretary as well?
