Harman in Cameron 'wicked way' warning

September 26, 2008

David Cameron is not on Guru's Christmas card list - or even his urinate-at-if-on-fire list - but Yours Truly was still shocked at an attack on him at the Labour Party conference last week.

Yep, women's minister Harriet Harman really went to town on poor old Dave up in Manchester - although maybe her bitterness reflected incidents earlier in her own life rather than on the Tory leader.

"David Cameron," she spat, "says one thing when he means another".

Then she got more sinister.

"There is something not quite right about him," she said.

"He's the kind of man your mother used to warn you about. You know the kind of man I'm talking about.

"He'll promise you the world. Promise to make all your dreams come true.

"But if he got his wicked way with - you in the ballot box - you'd never hear from him again."

Well, what can one say? A scarred past, Harriet?

Employers wary of further gender equality legislation better stay on her good side - flowers and chocolates before asking this one on a date, chaps.
