For reasons beyond comprehension of mere mortals, Prof Kandola had screaming madwoman Joanna Riley and property chancer Jamie Lester down as the most likely to succeed with just two weeks to go. His justification for keeping Ranting Riley at the top of the tree for so long has always mystified Yours Truly, as being a bit tall and being a bit thick are not usually top business attributes. Jamie Lester, on the other hand, did come across as a very nice, if blokey, sort of bloke, and was probably the best fit for Lord 'what's wrong with havin' a beard' Sugar.
Sadly, they've both gone. Leaving Stella English and Chris Bates to fight it out in the final, which seems like a massively one-sided fight as Mr Dynamism himself, Chris 'Mr Bates' is, like most soccerball referees, a bit of a... small, logical boy with a deep voice - not exactly inspirational material.
Of course, the third person to get their marching orders was Stuart 'the Brand' Baggs, who while intensely irritating on one level, was intensely irritating on all others too.
Prof Kandola rightly pointed out that the 'business gurus' brought in by the Sugar Daddy were a bunch of bullying misathropes, implying that this was not a good thing. But in the real world, such sexist and occasionally bearded, imbeciles are just the sort of managers who make their way to the top by virtue of everyone else leaving - their very obnoxious natures being exactly why they have been successful in business.
As for the The Apprentice final, Guru's money's on the tall, leggy blond - not the one with the deep voice and monotonous delivery.
