I am responsible for two sister titles of Personnel Today - Occupational Health and Occupational Health Review - as well as Personnel Today guides and reports. I am also the conference adviser to IRS Events, part of the XpertHR group.
Most of my career as an editor and journalist has been spent in HR and healthcare publications, and I am a former award-winning editor of Personnel Today and deputy editor of Doctor, the medical newspaper for GPs.
I am interested in people management issues, especially health and wellbeing and how it links with corporate responsibility, employee engagement and performance.
Above all I am interested in the difference between management rhetoric and reality.
Do get in touch if you care about these issues and have a story, opinion or ideas and want to contribute to our print or internet publications or the IRS events.
I also play the saxophone and am available for bookings as well as chat on new acts in jazz, blues, soul, latin music, and any new and exciting sounds from around the world.
