I edit Occupational Health, recently merged with Occupational Health Review, and am also an adviser to IRS Events, part of the XpertHR group.

Most of my career as an editor and journalist has been spent in HR and healthcare publications, and I am a former award-winning editor of Personnel Today and deputy editor of Doctor, the medical newspaper for GPs.

I am interested in people management issues, especially health and wellbeing and how it links with corporate responsibility, employee engagement and performance.

I am interested in the difference between management rhetoric and reality, and have recently developed a strong interest in business psychology.

I also play the saxophone and am interested in news and opinion on new acts in jazz, blues, soul, latin music, and any new and exciting sounds from around the world.
