The Kent Wellbeing Symposium on Wednesday 3rd October needs to be in your diary.
If you are responsible for looking after staff, sourcing benefits, rewards, taking care of their wellbeing or arranging benefit packages, the day is not to be missed.
This unique event at Detling Showground in Maidstone will provide employers with the opportunity to find out about some great health and wellbeing partnerships in Kent, giving you the chance to knit them into your business too.
The Symposium will be unlike the usual and familiar conference set-up, offering delegates the opportunity to choose their own agenda for the day and network amongst like-minded people.
Delegates can pop into workshops, listen to speakers and visit break-out sessions running throughout the day, choosing the ones most relevant to their business.
Speakers will cover partnership working, maintaining mental health, leadership, staff retention, motivation in relation to many business sectors including schools, small, medium and large private businesses, local councils and housing associations.
Workshops covering nutrition - how to cook and eat well for home and work will be on offer and you can watch live demonstrations, taking away information on how to make it work for you and your workforce.
Whatever your business, you will find this event essential as it offers networking opportunities that could otherwise take you many weeks - all under one roof.
The Symposium is sponsored by Kent-based Water Wellbeing. A firm which deals with all aspects of wellbeing across many business sectors.
The day will begin with an introduction from Dame Carol Black, the government's expert and advisor on health and wellbeing. She will talk about the Workplace Wellbeing Charter, a voluntary scheme to help employers demonstrate their commitment to the health and wellbeing of their workforce and letting delegates know how to get involved and what it offers.
Employment has been well documented to have a positive impact on health and wellbeing and by keeping staff happy and motivated, staff turnover is reduced, sickness lowered and productivity boosted.
