We are considering making our site a no smoking site, and would be grateful if anyone can advise how they have achieved this, the problems they have encountered, and anyhelpful hints and tips

Introduce a No Smoking Policy and use this as a starting point - communicate and consult using the policy as a tool. We contacted the NHS for advice and support(www.givingupsmoking.co.uk) who provide lots of free material e.g. posters, cds, leaflets to encourage those who do smoke to use the opportunity to give up. We are also looking into the company providing help for the initial 3 months e.g. nicotine patches and providing on-site support groups. Good Luck.
