Hi there

I am working on a project at the moment on relaunching our staff suggestion scheme. We have one at the moment which seems to have flopped. Some of the suggestions we have received aren't really suggestions they are things that can really be dealt with by line managers. When suggestions are forwarded to the relevant managers nobody seems to take ownership of it. Winners of the staff suggestion receive either an orange or blue Red Letter Day voucher.

What I am now looking to do is completely re-launch this scheme, a new name, a new feel, managers taking responsibilty for any suggestions that need to be implemented, a new prize scheme and I was wondering whether anybody has a successful scheme that they would be willing to share their experiences with me.

Hi Sarah,

I've worked on a number of staff suggestion schemes, and they have all been different - reflecting the maturity and leadership of the organisations.

A lot depends on the credibility of the leadership and how much responsibility staff are 'allowed'.

If you would like some examples, I would be happy to supply them :)
