Are part time employees entitled to pro rata bank holidays if other full time members receive paid bank holidays?

If as I suspect the answer to be yes, how do your companies deal with this issue on paying employees? Do they get additional time off or are the salaries just adjusted slightly to compensate?

The Part Time Workers regulations entitle p/t staff to have the same terms and conditions as full time staff, but on a pro-rata basis, so yes, part-time staff are entitled to BHs on a pro-rata basis.

It may be easiest to add their BH entitlement to their annual leave but they then have to book leave for a BH if it falls on a day they would normally work.
