Charlotte,

What type of management training are you looking for? Leadership? Teamworking? Performance management?
What do you want to achieve / change for the management team and your leisure facility?

If you post your answers to these questions then I or another reader should probably be able to suggest a good resource for you.

To Charlotte,
We would be able to assist as we specialise in Management training. We are endorsed by independant bodies, ILM and ISMM. If you require further information to identify whether our services will be of benefit please give me a call, 07947 217648.

Kind regards,
Clive Mason

Charlotte,
We have tried many organisations but have found that the training provided was not focussed on our business and the learning was inefficient.

When training needs to be focussed and possibly resources are tight, both human and finances, I would suggest you talk to a local management training consultant .
She or he will tailor the training to your specific requirements, provide it on-site ( or nearby) at a time suitable to fit in with your operational needs. They will training small groups or even individuals, again fitting around your operational needs and provide on-going close support.

You will find that most consultants provide good value for money and are not as expensive as you think. On going contracts with them will bring the costs down very significantly .

I have worked with and used a cpmpany called Footrpint Learning and Development.  They are based in the north East, but travel out to wherever necessary.  They have an amazing reputation, and really take time to understand your needs when developing solutions.  Take a look at http://www.footprintdevelopment.com

Hi Charlotte

Doing management training is easy - ensuring it add value is another matter.

The advice you have had here is excellent - also look for providers that have 'gone through the hoops' to have their training recognised by third parties (i.e. the ILM)

Be careful of the big brands - in my experience (18 years as TM in various co's) all they do is re label their material.  Look for a medium size company that has the resources, experience and that most of all when you have spoken to them you trust.  The best training comes from the best relationships.

good luck on your quest

Mike
