Please conctact me on jmc58@le.ac.uk

Look forward to hearing from you in advance.

Hi Mark

Have you had any joy with this request?

I've got some info about how to design a Competency Framework but only in paper format so would have to post it on to you.

In addition at the company I work, I've been involved in the design of a Paying for Performance Framework which may be of some help.

In relation to the above, I bought a book called Paying for Contribution which has loads of case studies and examples of other companies frameworks. Might be worth buying or getting from a library..

Hi Jenny and Mark,

The NHS is currently implementing an ambitious competence scheme for some 1.2m people, called the Knowledge and Skills Framework. While healthcare biased, the format is interesting - have been working with it for 2-3 years now - its also connected to a performance review and pay system. Documents are 'free to air' at:

http://www.dh.gov.uk/assetRoot/04/09/08/61/04090861.pdf

Also available is the Leadership Qualities Framework, an NHS behavioural scheme, modeled on successful chief executives, for leadership development. It's at:

http://www.nhsleadershipqualities.nhs.uk/

Again, useful compare/contrast and have been working with it this year. Get in touch if you're interested in some help - you can view my work at www.learnthat.co.uk.

Best wishes, Paul
