Recruitment Surveys Jas Johal 02/09/2006 12:32 J Johal@ rchl org uk

I would appreciate if anyone who may be able to send/email me some examples of recruitment surveys. Basically we advertised a management post and although received a huge response to the advert, only a small amount of applications received. So i would like to send a questionnaire to the applicants who did not return there applications in order to get there views and reasons why.

regards

Jas

have you given any consideration to the fact that the fiercly competitive recruitment market means people aren't going to bother filling out a form before they've even been invited for an interview?

Decent people are presented with a multitude of opportunties likes this all the time... you need to gain buy-in and differentiate yourself before they'll take the time to fill out a form. An advert or your reputation rarely do this!

And the you can tell me "if their interested in our company they'll do whatever" if you want... it's you who loses because they find another equally great job and you're left with an empty vacancy for months on end.

Forget form filling and start taking advise from the experts.

Thank you for your comments, however i have successfully devised a recruitment questionnaire and received a successful response. Having investigated the responses from individuals we have managed to fill the vacancy from one of the candidates who returned there questionnaires. So i think taking advise from the experts is a no no.

Hi Jas,

I have just come across your message and we are very keen to run a similar survey (although possibly on a smaller scale to yours). Would you be able to email me the questionnaire you designed and give me some idea as to the sort of questions you asked as I am struggling to come up with a good starting point?

Many thanks,

Anna
