Hello I need someone advice on an issue Joe has been taken asthma attack in work since 19th July went to the doctor on the 20th July and was given a different inhaler and a next app of the 3rd Aug. Joe went to the doctor and the doctor gave Joe tablets and to come back in anoher two weeks. During this time Joe feel no better and was still taken two - three attacks a day. On the 15th Aug Joe rang in sick with pain in his chest and went to the doctor- out come was Joe was to take some time off wok and come back on Thursday (17th Aug) Joe went back to the docor and the doctor signed him off for another week. During this time Joe had some stress test and depression questionaire to completed before going back to the doctor. Joe went back to the Doctor on the 24th Aug and the doctor confirmed to joe that he was suffering from Stress which was causing the asthma attacks and depression.Asked Joe does he know what are the caused and Joe told the Doctor he was been bullyed in work by his Personnel Manager. After each visit to the doctor Joe always rang work to inform them of the outcome at the doctor. One of Joe's collegues rang him on a few occoations regards work and also asked Joe for any work documention that were in Joe car back so Joe took them to near by store.During his visit to the near by store Joe confirmed in a close work friend in confidence. Two weeks later that close work friend rang to see now Joe was very concern about Joe and asked Joe could she ring the Group PM regards her concern about Joe. Since that joe has received a letter(12h Sept) from the group pm to meet another pm to discuss what has happened and the bulling. That meeting is still to be confrimed. On 15th Sept Joe received another letter from his personnel Manager saying that herself and the store manager would like for joe to keep in touch to update joe on what's happening at work and would appreciate for joe to inform about any changes to his condition. and work out a return to work programm and may also need to hold a meeting with Joe at the store or at his home to see now he is. How ever we can't hold his job indefinitely and if all else fails we may need to end Joe employment with the company. Joe has been signed off for one month by the Doctor for Depression and stress and is due back to the doctor next thursday . What should Joe do next? |
