There has been a lot of discussion in People Management recently about workplace bullying in HR.

Does anyone on this site think that bullying is a problem in the HR community?

I have not come across bullying in HR but its interesting to think to whom HR people would go to for help should they find they are being bullied by their boss/colleague, being unfairly treated or in any other kind of trouble for that matter.

The rest of the organisation have HR or a rep for help.  Neither of these would be an easy option for HR people for obvious reasons.

I have just left a job in which I was being bullied by the HR Manager.  This is the first role that I have ever experienced bullying in the work place, and I was shocked and appauled that an HR Manager, who is a chartered member of the CIPD could behave in such a manner.

From personal expereince, bullying does occur within HR departments. I've been bullied by two HR managers and have had members of my own HR team bully me. Thankfully, the 1st Manager left the co and the 2nd one (different company) I addressed the issue with her and she stopped. My team bullying me - that got turned into me bullying them, which I didn't, then senior managers turned against me and I was moved to another office. I didn't bother putting in a grievance, as I knew the company had it in for me. I left, contemplated constructive dismissal, but couldn't deal with the time and pain that would come with it and now work for a new company who value me and treat me well.

Can't bullying really be a part of any workplace?  Or is it different in HR?  I personally have never experienced it.
