Hi

Sorry for the late reply.  I've been on holiday for a while.  You may well have sorted this issue, but just in case you haven't. here my thoughts.

Firstly, the link between just job satisfaction and performance or intent to leave is not very strong.  You'd be much better looking at employee engagement.  This includes elements of satisfaction but it goes much further by looking at oportunities for development, intentions to leave, perceptions of support from the organisation as a whole and form managers, opinions of the quality of management etc etc.

Secondly, Employee Engagement gives you a measure of how emotionally engaged employees are with the orgnasisation.  To a good extent, this can identify whether staff are prepared to go the extra mile for the organisation.

Thirdly, it can also identify the key drivers to engagement and therefore identify areas where the organisation should focus on in order to improve performance and retention.

If you wish to talk about this further please call me on 0785 6868719.

I hope this helps.

Hi Sue,

This may be a bit late now to give you some help.
Have you tried any companies who consult in this area? For example Insala, has provided many employee surveys to companies in the UK and the USA?

Thanks

Stephen
