Hi

I am currently working in HR. Only been here for 6 months and considering the CIPD for next year.

Do you need to have a solid business background to do well in this? Do not have a business degree....

Thanks

Jackie

Hi Jackie

No you do not need a business background - although it would put you in a stronger position.  Many HR people only with HR experience find it hard to climb the ladder - but do not let this stop you.

If you can gain line management experience on the journey than that is wonderful - but not essentail.

Be the best person you can by developing yourself in areas that interest you.  If that is HR - great. Passion is vital.

Good luck

Mike
