I am trying to bring my new organisation into the 21st Century earding HR, theri whole attitude is that HR is a complete waste of time and resources. I have looked at the so called policies procedures and nothing is right, this is a big task, can anyone advise how I get buyin to my ideas as the directors are completely aliegn to this concept and have had rally bad HR experiences in the past. I want to bring about gradual change but there's so much needs doing.

Hi Kim Sounds as if you have your work cut out. A good start would be to do a HR audit and list which areas are critical for improvement and what the consequences of not doing this would be to the business with a clear financial link. This should then allow you to recomend improvements that would increase the bottom line by introducing efficient and effective HR solutions. I hope that this will help. Regards Tessa |
