Hi

I have a query with regards to freelance workers.

If a freelance worker has just signed a new contract, how do I work out her old holiday entitlement to be added to her new entitlement?

Does this make sense?
From August - Jan 14th she has worked a total of 19 days for us. Our employees have 25 holidays per year. Not including bank holidays. I know how to calculate her new allowance, but what about her previous days that she would have accumulated? ?

Thank You!!

Based on 260 working days in the year, she would be entitled to 0.096 days' holiday per day work. Therefore, if she's worked 19 days should would have accrued 1.82 days holiday (you may want to round this up or down for ease). Unless of course, there was a clause in her old contract to the contrary.
