Hi All, We have discovered recently that an individual who's work has been slipping of late (so much so that we are moving to put him on a development plan) has been going through a lot of stress in his personal life, and has recently resorted to drinking a large quantity of whiskey each night - nearly a whole bottle. As far as we know he is not drinking in the day, however, it is obviously affecting his performance. We want to do everything we can to support him, but he wont admit that he has a problem, just that life at home is a bit stressful at the moment. Does anyone have any advice? As far as i can see this isnt just going to go away, and unless he admits that he needs help or that he has an issue then we are going to have to follow our policies, which means we will probably end up loosing him. All comments will be appreciated!
