Hi There,

I am currently in the middle of debating whether or not it would be a good idea to recommend introducing a Stress/Well being policy into my place of work.

If any one out there has introduced such a policy and would be willing to share their view about the policy, how it was implemented, the obstacles that they had to cross and whether or not is has been successful I would be pleased to hear from you.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Katy

Hi Suzi,

We work with a number of companies who have introduced Wellbeing policies and iniatives.  In my experience it is absolutley key to ensure you have senior management buy in.  This we have done in the past , via presentations to the management team or board.  The tangible benefit to the business in reduced sickness absence but in addition the improvement in productivity and morale is also very obvious.  Bringing in the right well being initiative is also important.  Providers need to be qualified professionals and in our experience need to undestand how businesses work.  Evaluation of the initiatives is also important as you need to convince your  budget holders that there has been an impact.

Good Luck
